Blogosphere phenomenon
Blogging has been one of the most popular things to do these days. Blogging is a social experience where people express themselves and share it with everyone else. According to Sifry (2006), Technorati found that there are more than 57 millions blogs these days and the blogosphere is doubling in size every 230 days (100 000 new blogs created each day).
Trends of blog
In Iran, political blogs are very common. People in Iran usually use the blogs to discuss and self express about the political status there. Moreover, people in Iran will also blog about news on wars and for example, this topic can be found in ‘The Nation’.
As for in Asia, the blogging trends in Japan and Korea are almost the same. The blogosphere’s trends in Japan and Korea are more about the social activities. Whereas in Malaysia, the trend of blogosphere is almost the same as Iran whereby there are many successful political blogs in Malaysia. Recently, the Malaysia’s parliament election has been done and much opposition have won many seats all over Malaysia.
Benefits from blog
Many people are wondering what is so special about blogging. Unconsciously, the blogosphere world has brought a lot of benefits to the world especially in Malaysia. As mention above, the oppositions have won many parliament seats in Malaysia by using political blogs. By applying the freedom of speech in Malaysia and in the blogosphere world, those oppositions’ leaders are able to express themselves and win over voters’ heart through their websites.
Another beneficial part of blogging is that those big companies will advertise in people blogs. By this, both companies and bloggers will be able to earn profit from there. Bloggers will be given payments by the companies and the companies will gain their profit by having a lot of people to click on their advertisement through blogs.
Therefore, the blogosphere world has benefited many people and organization. To me, blogging has given me the freedom of speech and a way to express my feelings. By this, I will be able to share my opinion to the rest and I am able to gain more knowledge by having a discussion with other people from all around the world.
